Video: Meatball Boats - Healthy Recipes

Meatball boats
Particularly recommended for children!
Ingredients for 2 servings:
½ carrot
½ small cucumber
2 small tomatoes
some basil leaves
250 g lean
minced meat (from beef) 25 g chopped hazelnuts
1 egg
1 tbsp whole grain crumbs
Salt
1 tbsp olive oil

Preparation:
- Wash and finely grate the carrot, cut the cucumber and tomatoes into approx. 1 cm thick slices. Wash the basil leaves and drain them in a colander.
- Mix the minced meat, finely grated carrots, hazelnuts, egg, whole grain crumbs and salt, form small balls.
- Heat the oil in a coated pan and fry the balls on all sides.
- After frying, put the balls on toothpicks with the cucumber and tomato slices.
- Place the basil leaves on top of the skewers as sails.
