Apple and cinnamon dumplings
Especially recommendable for Christmas!
Ingredients for 4 servings:
500 g sweet apples
Cinnamon
Peel of an organic lemon
300 g flour
2 eggs
250 ml milk (1.5%)
40–60 g butter

Preparation:
- Peel and quarter the apples, put them in a saucepan and cook with a little water and the spices until soft. Sweeten with honey and mash the apples a little.
- Mix the flour, salt, milk, eggs and the melted butter into a soft batter. From this dough, small dumplings are formed with a spoon and cooked in boiling salted water for about six minutes.
- After straining, mix the dumplings with the apple sauce and serve sprinkled with butter flakes.
